Potomac Ecotones

ecological inquiry into my bioregion

Hello, I’m Laura Sebastianelli, a naturalist, educator, and budding ecological communicator. Potomac Ecotones is my personal blog for sharing my observations and reflections of the natural world around me — from my immediate neighborhood (Dyke Marsh), and throughout the greater DC area.

The name of my blog, Potomac Ecotones, is inspired by the biological term, “ecotones,” a transitional zone where species from different habitats overlaps. As a result, ecotones are places known for their greater richness and diversity. May it be so!
